ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF

As a woman of a certain age, I have come to realize there's not a lot of conversation about what to expect as each year comes.

Hello, hormonal changes that make you think you're absolutely insane! Let's not even get into dealing with a slowing metabolism that seems to work against every effort to stay as snatched as possible. Then, there's the whole topic of preparing for marriage later in life or simply trying to preserve the one you have.

As women, we face many issues and half the time we're not talking about any of them. My desire is to be the voice that brings attention to the stuff we wrestle with at 35, 40, and beyond because, let's face it, we all could use some encouragement to navigate each season of life.

PRESSING PAST THE PAST

BY JULEE JONEZ

It’s hard to move forward when your unresolved past presses against you. Yolanda and Kennedy are best friends with two things in common: they love God and loathe their tumultuous pasts. Though their faith and friendship are strong, both are put to the test when seeds of deceit reap a shocking harvest. As their past decisions come back to haunt them, will it result in payback or a peaceful future?
